Blessed be God's name?

I read Elie Wiesel's Night several years ago and found it chilling.  However, at the time, I didn't fully understand his condemnation of God.  Similarly, I didn't appreciate Ivan Karamazov's repudiation of God in The Brothers Karamazov.  Now, I firmly believe that it is possible to question the morality of God's actions.  I never bought into Leibnitz's argument that this is (or could be) the best of all possible worlds.  A God that allows the atrocities of the Holocaust is not worthy of respect, let alone worship.

  1. After reading the comment about God "causing" the deaths of so many chosen persons I had to insert the question; is God to blame for the choices of evil men?
