Scientific illiteracy in government
It's shaping up to be a depressing week. First, Justice Scalia suggests that the devil has become smarter in the last 2,000 years. Now, I read an even worse inanity out of Congress. Rep. Joe Barton, the author of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Chairman of the House-Senate Energy Conference Committee, suggests that wind is a finite resource and harnessing it would slow the winds down, increasing temperatures. Oh my fracking hell! How in the world do such dunces get elected? Incidentally, I don't think Justice Scalia is a dunce, only deluded).
